Investment Readiness: Kick-off of the Program Aimed at Preparing Togolese Startups for Fundraising

On March 19, 2025, the official launch of the Investment Readiness program took place for the 10 selected startups and 5 Entrepreneurship Support Organizations (ESOs). During the kick-off webinar, participants were introduced to the key components of the support they will receive over the next six months.

A Structured Support to Boost Fundraising

The program’s objective is clear: to prepare Togolese entrepreneurs to successfully raise funds. Through a combination of practical workshops, personalized coaching, and strategic networking, the startups will gain all the tools they need to refine their financing strategies and attract investors.

To achieve this, participants will undergo in-depth training on the essential aspects of fundraising, including powerful pitching techniques, preparation for investor negotiations, and the development of key fundraising documents.

Simultaneously, the program will play a crucial role in strengthening the SAEIs by helping them integrate best practices into their service offerings. The initiative also aims to establish strong partnerships with incubators, accelerators, and funding organizations, to ensure the program’s outreach and long-term sustainability within the Togolese entrepreneurial ecosystem.

During this first session, moderated by lead trainer Thameur Hemdane, participants gained a detailed overview of the program's content. They were also introduced to the structured schedule of workshops and coaching sessions planned over the six-month period.

This meeting marks the beginning of an ambitious journey for these entrepreneurs, who now have the opportunity to benefit from expert advice and strengthen their market positioning. The participants' commitment and enthusiasm suggest a promising edition filled with learning and new opportunities.
